FreshRun is designed to help you discover and navigate running routes while respecting your privacy. This policy explains what information may be processed when you use the app, how it is used, and the third-party services involved in providing the app.
FreshRun is designed so that saved routes, activities, and app preferences are stored locally on your device and are not tied to an email-based account.
FreshRun is built to minimize the amount of personal data used. Saved routes, activities, and most app preferences are stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated in this policy.
FreshRun does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not use in-app analytics or tracking for advertising purposes.
FreshRun uses your device location to generate nearby running routes, support route-based features, and provide live navigation during a run.
FreshRun stores route and activity records locally on your device. FreshRun does not use your location for advertising or profiling.
FreshRun offers email-based sign-in. When you sign in, you receive a one-time verification code sent to your email address.
Email authentication is provided by Auth0. Auth0 may process your email address and authentication activity as needed to verify your identity and provide sign-in services.
FreshRun does not use your email address to store, sync, or recover your routes, activities, or app preferences. All saved routes, activities, and app settings remain stored locally on the specific device on which they were created.
If you use the same email address on a different device, FreshRun will show only the routes, activities, and app data stored on that device. FreshRun does not provide account-based route storage.
If you choose to share your email address, FreshRun may use it to send occasional product-related messages, such as feedback requests or important updates. These communications are infrequent.
FreshRun uses its own routing infrastructure together with OpenRouteService and open map data to generate routes and geocoding results.
When you generate a route, search for a location, or use reverse geocoding, request data such as coordinates or search text may be sent through FreshRun’s routing infrastructure and to service providers involved in returning a routing or geocoding result.
FreshRun is designed so that route and geocoding requests are used to provide the requested result and are not used for advertising or user profiling by FreshRun.
When the app communicates with FreshRun services, network and security providers such as Cloudflare may process technical information like IP address, request metadata, and device or browser characteristics for security, abuse prevention, and service delivery purposes.
FreshRun may also send basic service checks, such as server health or availability checks, to confirm that routing services are online and working properly.
Saved routes, activities, disclaimer acceptance, appearance settings, and similar app preferences are stored locally on your device.
If you use iCloud Backup or other Apple backup features, local app data may be included in your encrypted device backup managed by Apple.
You can remove local app data from your device using the Clear All Data option in the app.
FreshRun may allow you to export routes as GPX files. These GPX files are generated from route data stored on your device and may include route coordinates and, where available, elevation data.
GPX export is initiated by you. If you choose to export or share a GPX file, FreshRun uses Apple’s standard system share sheet so you can save the file to your device or share it with another app or service you select.
FreshRun uses information only as needed to operate core app features, including:
FreshRun relies on third-party services to provide mapping, authentication, routing, and network protection features. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.
Please review their privacy information for more detail:
FreshRun is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly design the app to collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, or service changes. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page.
